The Musical Theater Dance Workshop teaches essential principles of performing musical theater. During this four-week intensive, students practice and hone their singing, dancing and acting skills, in a fun and supportive environment. They will learn basic voice, dance and acting techniques as well as the technical execution of sets, costumes and props, integrating these into three exciting final performances. Within the experience, we foster mentorship; we strive to create an exciting, non-competitive atmosphere where the veterans support and encourage newcomers. Our staff of interns are chosen from the many students we have had in the past. They set a high standard of performing while guiding and supporting their charges through the rigors of the workshop.

The kids' classes run Tuesdays and Thursdays in July; the 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th and 28th. This year we will have TWO sessions:
  • Five to seven year olds will meet from 10:30 - 12:30 (these participants will perform in the Sunday show ONLY)
    Tuition - $100.00
  • Eight to eleven year olds will meet from 10:30 - 3
    Tuition - $200.00

There is an additional rehearsal (dress rehearsal) on the evening of Thursday the 28th. For the first two weeks, classes will be held at the Waldorf School in Cotuit. More WALDORF info here

The performances will be held on Friday, July 29th and Saturday July 30th at 7 PM and Sunday the 31st at 2:30. On Saturday and Sunday the participants should arrive 1.5 hours before the show. Friday's show will have a brief run-through prior to the arrival of an audience. Call time will be at 4:30.
